Privacy Policy

RowanLux LLC ("RowanLux," "we," "us") builds and hosts websites for businesses. This policy explains how we handle information collected through rowanlux.net. We keep it simple: we only collect what you choose to send us, we use it to respond to you, and we never sell it.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our Get a Quote form or website planning checklist, we receive what you enter, which may include:

• Your name, email address, phone number, and business name
• The services and website features you select, and any notes or messages you write

Information collected automatically with a submission. To help prevent spam and abuse, we record the IP address and browser type that a form was submitted from.

Payment information. If you pay through our payment pages, your card details are entered directly into Stripe and go straight to Stripe. They never reach or are stored on our servers.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and we don't build profiles of our visitors.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and prepare a quote or proposal
• To send you a confirmation that we received your submission
• To communicate with you about a project you've asked us about
• To protect our website and forms from spam, fraud, and abuse

We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing email.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

• Saved progress. The website planning checklist saves your unfinished choices in your own browser (local storage) so you can come back and finish later. That information stays on your device until you submit the form or clear your browser data.
• Payments. Our payment pages use Stripe, which sets cookies needed to process payments securely and prevent fraud. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to download them. Google Fonts does not set cookies. See Google's Privacy Policy.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run this website, and only as needed for that purpose:

• Amazon Web Services: website hosting, secure storage of form submissions, and sending confirmation emails
• Microsoft 365: our business email
• Stripe: payment processing

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of RowanLux, our clients, or others.

How we protect it

Your information is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored in encrypted storage in the United States. Access is limited to authorized people who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions for as long as needed to respond to you and for our ordinary business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you by contacting us using the details below. We'll respond within a reasonable time, and we won't treat you differently for making a request.

Information we handle for our clients

When we build or host websites for our clients, information submitted through their websites belongs to them and is handled under our written agreements with them, including Business Associate Agreements where health information is involved. This policy covers rowanlux.net only; please see each client's own privacy policy for their websites.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
